I completed my Ph.D. in Fish Nutrition and Feed Technology in 2020 from the ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education (CIFE), Mumbai. I obtained my M.F.Sc. in the same discipline from ICAR-CIFE in 2015 and graduated with a B.F.Sc. from the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS), Kochi, in 2013.
I have gained diverse professional experience in the fisheries sector. I worked as a Quality Controller at Atlas Fish Company W.L.L., Kingdom of Bahrain (2018–2019), served as an Assistant Professor at the School of Fisheries, Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM), Parlakhemundi, Odisha (2019–2023), and worked as a Fisheries Extension Officer with the Department of Fisheries, Government of Kerala (2023–2025).
My research focuses on the utilization of alternative and non-conventional feed resources to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of aquaculture nutrition. I have worked on the use of protein isolates from non-edible seeds such as Neem seed cake and Karanja seed cake in Labeo rohita, improvement of fillet appearance in Pangasianodon hypophthalmus, and the application of immunoceuticals in finfish diets. My broader research interests include designer feed development, utilization of non-conventional feed ingredients in finfish and shellfish, feed management, and nutritional programming.
