Brackishwater aquaculture theme exhibition by ICAR-CIBA in the Swasraya Bharat-Kerala Science Fest 2019, a mega science expo organized by the Swadeshi Science Movement, Kerala at Marine Drive, Ernakulam from 23-26 November 2019, won the best stall award.
The mega exhibition, at Marine Drive helipad grounds, Ernakulam, showcased India’s advancements in science and technology front was the last among the series of Satellite Seminars throughout Kerala under the Focal Theme,
Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Shri. V. Muraleedharan inaugurated the expo, participated with National, State and Private Sector participants. Central Research Institutes including CMLRE, INCOIS, ISRO, DRDO, CIFT, CMFRI, CPCRI, NIFPHATT, Cochin Shipyard etc. showcased their technological innovations with stalls.
Daily thousands of visitors, including school and college students flocked to the exhibition and interacted with the exhibitors. Stalls with aquaria of live candidate finfishes and shellfishes were the main attraction for the visitors. For showcasing the scientific achievements and technologies developed and transferred by CIBA for the development of brackishwater aquaculture in the country, the institute bagged the “Best Stall Award” and the award was presented by Hon’ble Governor of Kerala, Shri. Arif Mohammad Khan during the valedictory function held during the concluding day on November 26th 2019.
