After obtaining a Postgraduate in Veterinary Pathology from Madras Veterinary College and a Doctoral degree from IVRI, in 2006, I have joined ICAR – CIBA as a scientist during the year 2008 in the Aquatic animal health and Environment Division. Research is my passion and I am continuing to do it with zeal. I have been credited with best M.V.Sc. as well as a Ph.D. researcher by the Indian Association of Veterinary Pathologists. Currently working as Senior Scientist in ICAR–CIBA engaged in research related to aquatic animal health with main focus on pathology, pathogenesis, and host-pathogen interaction of fish, shrimp diseases. Besides this, I am working on the epidemiology of brackishwater finfish and shellfish diseases, diagnostics in fish and shellfish diagnosis, and antibiotic residues.
- Understanding the pathology, pathogenesis and host pathogen interactions of shrimp viral, parasitic and bacterial diseases
- Shrimp and fish disease diagnosis,
- Shrimp and fish disease surveillance and its molecular epidemiology
