ICAR-CIBA Exhibition stall was organized in the “24th National Agriculture Exhibition” held at Science City, Kolkata during 28-31 October, 2021. The Exhibition was organized by the Central Calcutta Science & Culture Organisation for Youth and 28 organizations of Central and State Governments participated in the event. Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Prof. Saugata Roy and other dignitaries visited CIBA Exhibition stall on 28th October, 2021 and appreciated CIBA’s effort to popularize brackishwater fish and shrimp farming in the country. The major exhibits displayed include farming practices of major candidate species of shrimp viz., Penaeus vannamei, Penaeus indicus, Penaeus monodon, mud crab (Scylla serrata), finfishes such as Hilsa (Tenualosa ilisha) Asian seabass (Lates calcarifer), milkfish (Chanos chanos), Pearlspot (Etrolpus spp.) modular breeding techniques, major diseases and their management in shrimp and finfishes. Specimen of PlanktonPlus and HortiPlus and feeds of shrimp, crab and finfishes were also displayed. About 2000 students, entrepreneurs and farmers visited CIBA stall during the exhibition.
