I worked on detection and quantification of Laem-Singh virus (LSNV) in different species of penaeid shrimp for my post-graduation study at Central Institute of Fisheries Education. I studied on the prevalence, host range, molecular epidemiology, experimental infection and relation between slow growth and the presence of LSNV. Presently I am working on investigation of uncertain mortalities in shrimp hatcheries Penaeus (Litopenaeus) vannamei due to zoea II syndrome and in shrimp grow out system such as Running mortality syndrome, White feces syndrome, White muscle syndrome and Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei .
