Brief profile:

After taking masters in Agricultural Statistics in 1997 I worked as research Associate at National Research Center for Sorghum from 1997-1999. I joined ICAR research Complex for Goa, Goa as Scientist(Computer Applications) in 1999 and worked till 2010. I joined ICAR-CIBA on inter-institutional transfer and continuing tilldate. I worked in the areas of statistical programming, statistical modeling, data mining and Bioinformatics. Presently I am actively involved in the works related to genome assembly and comparative genomics

Present day Indian shrimp farming almost entirely depends on aquaculture of exotic white shrimp, Penaeus vannamei .
Sole dependence on a single species cast doubt about the sustainability of Indian shrimp farming.
