Shri. R. Aravind

After completing Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science from Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS), Kochi in the year 2011 and a Master’s degree in the discipline of Aquatic Environmental Management from ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai in 2013, I joined the Agricultural Research Service in January 2016. I am working in ICAR-CIBA, Chennai since April 2016 for the development of brackishwater aquaculture. Presently I have been working in Crustacean Culture Division at ICAR-CIBA mainly involved in the live feed isolation and mass culture includes copepods, cladocerans, and diatoms. I have contributed to seed production and farming technologies of Penaeus indicus (Indian white shrimp) and Penaeus japonicus (Kuruma shrimp). My area of interest includes nursery rearing and farming of shrimps to improve farmers' income and their livelihoods.
