I did M.Sc. form CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar and Ph. D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in the year 2003 and 2011 respectively. I joined Kakdwip Research Centre, ICAR-CIBA in June 2025. Before that, I worked more than 15 years in College of Fisheries, Central Agricultural University (Imphal), Lembucherra, Tripira. Besides teaching of UG, PG and Ph.D. courses of Fish Genetics and Breeding and Fish Biotechnology, I have guided 15 no. of PG students in the discipline of Fish Genetics and Breeding and Fish Biotechnology. I have handled five (5) Externally Funded Research Projects (EFRP) as a Principle Investigator and four (4) Externally Funded Research Projects as Co-PI funded by different agencies including DBT, DST and ICAR in the area of fish genetics and biotechnology. I was involved in the seed production and hatchery management of Indian Major Carp, Minor carp, catfish (Singhi and magur) and freshwater prawn.
Area of my research is fish genetics, breeding and fish biotechnology.
